    I'm counting down...

To seeing him again NEXT WEEK!

The weekend that he's back will be filled with many activites (as usual). On a typical trip back, we will always have plans with friends for catch up. But i've realised this coming trip will be more about US. Spending time to look at wedding venues & houses... This will be fun, and i can't wait!

    AND

there's one more thing i'm counting down to.....

    SASHA!

She'll be taking a flight to Singapore in 2 weeks time! I'm so excited to see her again, i really miss her! And I can't wait for the 1-month quarantine period to end quickly, so that we can finally bring her home!

On one hand i'm feeling really excited to finally have the 2 dogs meet but on the other hand, i feel sad because i know dj will be all alone again. I'm sure he'll miss her badly... The morning walks, the evening runs, the mess she creates at home, they have became such great friends since we adopted her. From the wild natured stray dog to a lovable home dog, she's an amazing dog and he will definitely miss having her around the house.

We are in the midst of confirming some plans, and i pray... and i pray that all 4 of us will be together soon!

    MJ

We even wanted to take a trip to london for his last concert, but now he's gone! It feels so weird & shocking. The radio's been playing many of his songs, and i just can't believe he's gone..

But i guess we all know, he is the king of pop, and will always be.

    The magic of 5-matches

    - Backdated Entry.

Since the boys were not in town, i brought DJ's mom out for her birthday surprise! As a mother, i'm sure she must have thought this ain't the best birthday she has had - DJ & Web were not in town & the boys did not get her anything for her birthday! But little did she know, that we've actually prepared a small, yet big present for her!! WE ALL KNEW, she has always wanted a 5-matchy... so we decided to plan a little surprise for her.

Malcolm even prepared a fake present that is a big card with many pictures of different watches, and it says " Happy Birthday Mommy! Please stop thinking about watches! " When we gave her the card, she laughed! It was definitely not the most happy laugh i've heard, but more like a "this is cute, but i really prefer my 5-matches!" kinda laugh! hahaha....

So we carried on with dinner & pretended that, that's the only gift she's getting from us. And i decided to call for the "dessert menu", but actually it was a signal for the waiter to come over with the real present (prior arrangments made). She was still unsure when the waiter passed her the box, but just look at that SMILE on her face, after she opened the box!! Surprised, shocked, excited, overwhelmed, whatever you call it... she was simply sooo happy to receive a Rolex for her birthday!

I guessed she just could not believe, that we are giving her a 5-matchy!! She even asked "Real or fake one??" HAHA....

I love surprises! Look at the smile on her, it's priceless!

Cookyn with Mervyn - Mediterranean Party!

Finally! A Cookyn with Mervyn session which i can eat everything! In most of their sessions, there will be an item or two which i do not eat, so i never did sign up for any. When amanda told me about the mediterranean party, i was soo excited! I knew i must join this session! And my sweet HTB even flew in over the weekend to join me for the party!

    Our Mediterranean savories :

    1.  Grilled tiger prawns skewers with citrus dress & vanilla pod
    2.  Steam mussels provencal-style
    3.  Roasted free-range chicken leg stuffed with feta cheese
    4.  Homemade crepes with greek yoghurt, honey & muesli

Merv added in a starter, parma on pita wrap with passion fruit. when i thought i will not get to eat the starter (i dont eat parma ham), i saw this little plate on it's own... he replaced the parma ham with salmon for me! awww, so sweet of him...

The mediterranean menu may seem difficult to prepare, but Merv makes it so simple & easy! Even if you're someone who does know how to cook, you will become a magic chef right after the session.

i really love how the session feels so relax & fun! even with friends that we've just made, there were much laughters as we cut, chopped, grilled & flipping the pan! i can't wait to go for the next Cookyn with Mervyn session!

For those who are interested, do check out Cookyn with Mervyn & sign up for their regular updates on upcoming food parties!

    animal cruelty

i was so disheartened when i saw the news of a pomeranian found tied up in a plastic bag near a rubbish chute in ECP.
the poor little one was covered with pee & poo, and shivering from the cold!

HOW CAN ANYONE EVEN DO THIS??

the owner literally treats the dog as rubbish, dumping it in the rubbish chute! it's ridiculous.... and for anyone who recognizes the dog or the owner, you should speak up for this little one. she doesn't deserve to be treated this way!

on a better note, the pomeranian is recovering well in the rescuer's house. she is up for adoption! so if anyone's interested you can visit this website ( http://jingjingdogs.blogspot.com/ ) for more details.

i hope the little one can find a new loving home soon...

    i'm still here!

i haven't blog for so long! but i'm still here, just haven't really got the time to put my thoughts to words.

well, the month of may was an incredible month for myself & dj! i had my birthday party with my girlies, a surprise birthday & proposal party with DJ & buddies, the bintan tri-trip and his surprise birthday party on a yacht! we had so much going on in may, and we are really glad to have our friends with us for the many activities we did together.

since dj went back to macau, i have been surfing websites on wedding venues, themes, decor, gowns....etc. we have planned for our wedding day to be mid next year, so the planning has to get started!!! this will be very exciting for us!! at the same time, we are scouting for a place to call our home and also arranging for our macanese pretty, sasha to be sent back to singapore. to think of it, from now till next year, so many things are going to happen! i'm definitely excited to see what's coming up!

that's all for now, will try to update more frequently!

    I SAID YES !!

    HE PROPOSED !!

    AND I SAID YESSS !!!

it is the biggest surprise birthday gift i've ever had... the initial dinner celebration turned out to be the biggest surprise! i could remember how anxious i was when everyone were walking towards the yacht instead of the restaurant prive. the funny thing was i kept insisting that dj must be somewhere there, because only he knows i've always wanted a yacht birthday party. nway, they managed to convinced me onboard, and i scanned around, hoping to find dj, but he was nowhere in the yacht.

when the yacht finally departed, i felt this little disappointment because i was really hoping dj could join me on my birthday! seeing everyone in smiles & toasting champagne away for my birthday, i couldn't simply sulk away, so i perked myself up & join them in the celebration!

as i least expected it, DJ APPEARED!!! i really couldn't stop smiling....! :) surprise, surprise! having him by my side, the party became so perfect! we had dinner on the deck, too bad that it was dark, or it'll be such a beautiful sight! we were even taken to watch fireworks near sentosa! so beautiful.... but the whole atmosphere was kinda spoilt by me, when i threw up in the toilet halfway through. SPOILER. but my hangover from last night really felt horrible. after washing up, i felt so much better! but still tired.

all of us proceed upstairs for more champagne! my birthday cake came... it was a big beautiful heart shaped patissier cake! it was sooo nice.... i really love it! HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAT! :)

and dj started his thanking speech to all our friends who helped him plan this special birthday surprise and he continued :

" A wise man once told me, don't marry the one you can live with, marry the one you can't live without..."

i started getting a little nervous and kept asking him what he's gonna do... but he just ignored my questions. when he placed his hand into his pockets, i knew.... he was going to propose! he took out this beautiful ring, knelled down and asked "Will you marry me?". I'm smiling & tearing as i write this... i am really touched by the things he have done to make this night of ours so special...

i've always dream to marry a man who can live my dreams with me. But after meeting DJ, i've stop dreaming. Because i know he is the man i will get married to and i know he will live those dreams with me... we're so excited to start this new chapter together!

and to all our friends who helped plan this special night for us, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! there are really no words to explain how thankful i am to everyone, especially amanda & mervyn who did so much for us! thanks guys!

well, HELLOOOOO, you can now call me MRS TAI! hahaha.....

    happy momsie day!

it's been a long time since my family celebrated mother's day on the actual day. we've never liked the idea of overcrowding at the restaurant and the drop in quality of the food due to the mass orders.

but this mother's day, we joined the crowd to have dinner at ah yat restaurant! it felt good actually, seeing the many happy faces of moms at the restaurant. i was exceptionally pleased with the service & food quality too, despite the crowd, the staff were attentive to us, the dishes arrived promptly & the quality of food was at its standard!

as always, my dearest grandma was the star of the night! she's so cute, don't you think?

and guess what... grumpy also had her fair share of mother's day celebration with me & her godma! hahaha...

earlier in the day, trish & i took grumpy to Blooie's for a little lunch date. grumpy was really well behaved! when trish & i were talking over our lunch, grumpy was sitting quietly on the chair & simply watching us (but i bet she was hoping for me to give her bits of my food). we spent the whole afternoon together, and i could see grumpy really loves trish's company! really love the pictures i took of trish & grumpy, so pretty...

my first mother's day outing with grumpy & her godma which turned out really special & fun! love love love*

    the limping dog

    GRUMPY.

she has been limping on & off recently. and i'm clueless what's wrong with her, or maybe she's just faking it.

sometime back, grumpy was limping quite badly and that got me so worried! so off the vet we went, but as the vet checked on her, she clarified that grumpy's perfectly fine. once we got out of the clinic, grumpy became normal again! that's when we knew that grumpy's just being a cheeky fella, limping to get our attention AND also waste our money on the vet! grrr.

however, i think i might need to waste that money at the vet soon. because i'm getting worried as i watch her limp during her run. i hope you're well & not injured, my little fella!

About Me

  • i am tall. with my heels on, i become freakishly tall. i have big feet, no, more like long feet which makes it hard for me to find shoe sizes. my toes are alieny, how i wish they were alittle shorter. but still, i love me. i also love happy faces, they make me smile. if you see me on the street, would you smile for me?
